…now, I have become part of a network - I have experienced a small number of things, natural things. For example, I have seen the point at which the young stream meets the curvaceous darkness of the sea and is uneventfully absorbed like an expected glance. I realise that I have not been misunderstood. I have not been mistreated. I have not learned my language. What I referred to earlier, that system – I realise now that it’s full of holes. Those ideas were, well, they were just what I thought then. All I know now is that the land is hardened dust and that the air seems breathable.
