Things I’ve Done Today - 9/1/11

I mentioned in one of my posts yesterday that I’m going to begin posting some or all of the artwork, writing and photography that I do each day; something like a diary of my production. So, now it’s happening.

The past week or so I’ve been watching the Series One box set of the programme ‘The Twilight Zone’. I’ve never been very interested in Science Fiction, but Twilight Zone is really good. Anyway, today when I was watching the show, I took a few photographs of the screen with my phone, here are some of them:

I went for a walk around Peckham stopping at a pub called The Montpelier; it’s not a bad place I suppose, but I find that pubs tend to fall in to one of two categories, especially around here, either they’re the kind of place where you’re lucky if you only get glassed once in a night, or they’re cosy, cloying, smugholes where people bring their Macbooks and children. I like children, but I think it’s cruel to bring them to pubs, it’s not their natural habitat and they inevitably start getting annoying. I made a couple of sketches while I was at the bar:

Walking home I took this photo of some buildings:

This evening I’ve been painting. I don’t have the money to buy new canvasses at the moment, nor do I have any brushes, as a result, I’ve been painting over old paintings that I don’t like any more (all of them), using a paint roller, a toothbrush, hands and a knife.

Not finished.

Now I’m working on some other stuff. If I finish anything before midnight I’ll add it to this post, otherwise, it’ll be up tomorrow.
